he has hoisted out of the mire every child
so lift your voice with timbrel and lyre.
i collect records earnestly :D i just love having this heavy physical object that i can play my music on, especially so that
i don't have to fully rely on streaming services. so here's a list of my records, some with short reviews and ratings :]
give me the future - bastille
4/5
i feel like this album in general goes on for a bit long despite only being ~45 minutes. but the pressing is super nice and comes with a nice lyrics book!
minecraft: volume alpha - c418
4/5
my copy skips on one song and has a ton of crackle throughout, but i think that might be because i cleaned it wrong or something? anyway, it's worth it to hear this album on vinyl :]
minecraft: volume beta - c418
4/5
i am. so glad i have both minecraft vinyls. minecraft soundtrack :]]]]]]]]]]
cavetown - cavetown
5/5
this is my favourite cavetown album, and hearing it on vinyl for the first time was a transcendental experience. worth every penny
the bones of what you believe - chvrches
5/5
i used to actually think this was the worst chvrches album, but it grew on me and now it's probably my most played record :P perfect pressing too, there's absolutely no crackling or popping anywhere
crazy frog - axel f
3/5
yes, i have crazy frog on vinyl. i bought this specific one because i couldn't find these specific mixes anywhere online, and,, i guess they're fine? :P
villains - emma blackery
4/5
i used to be majorly obsessed with emma blackery, but now i feel pretty meh about her. still, it's a good album and a good pressing :P
the wilderness - explosions in the sky
4/5
while the album itself isn't my favourite eits album by a long shot, it'll always be dear to my heart for having the song "the ecstatics", which introduced me to eits through the 2017 power rangers movie. also, this pressing is ridiculously amazing, with all sorts of extra stuff in the jacket. <3333
uneven strolls - glad sisifus
1/5
i'm sure the music's great, but the record itself won't fit on my turntable. disappointing. :|
i love you. - the neighbourhood
3/5
this one's gotten super in-demand recently and sells for like £100 on discogs. i bought mine for £20 total. huh.
anyway, it's,, fine? idk the pressing's good but i'm not as crazy for the album as i used to be
dear wormwood - the oh hellos
5/5
my favourite album ever <3333333333 i'm so happy i have it on vinyl now
